Chapter Discounts

Chapter Group Discount

Back by popular demand, the AAW is offering a chapter group discount for the 2023 AAW Symposium in Louisville, KY June 1-4, 2023.  The offer is for members of both AAW and chapters to get $40 off each symposium registration ($10 more than 2022) - a savings of at least $400 per chapter group of 10 registrations.

Chapters that elect to participate will also receive one complimentary reserved table at the Saturday evening dinner (tickets for the dinner must be purchased).

 

Eligibility:

The discount is available to AAW chapters and chapter members who are current AAW members. Chapters must organize a group of ten (or more) chapter members to receive the discounted rate.

Single Day registrations do not qualify for the Chapter discount.

 

Additions:

Add-on registrations and tickets are also available for purchase (not at a special bulk rate):

  • Saturday night dinner tickets are $65 per person.

  • Spouse symposium registration is $196 per spouse (for spouses who wish to attend woodturning rotations).

 

Chapter Leader “Plus One” (New for 2023)

Register a Chapter Leader at the regular price and register another chapter member (and AAW member) for 1/2 the regular price!

  • Chapter Leader       @ Member price ($355) OR with Chapter group ($315)

  • Plus One                 @ ½ Member price ($177.50)

 

Plus One Details:

  • Does the Plus One registration apply towards the 10 registrations for the Chapter discount?  Yes. Both the Chapter Leader and the Plus One apply to the 10 registrations.

  • Which chapter leadership positions are eligible?  President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary

  • Who can we bring as a “Plus One”?  Your Plus One must be a member of your chapter and of AAW. 

  • Can a “Plus One” be the Chapter Leader’s spouse?  The Plus One program is intended to broaden opportunities in your chapter for more attendees.  It is not intended as a spouse registration. 

 

How Your Chapter Can Participate

  • Contact AAW, to express your commitment to the chapter group discount or the Plus One discount and submit checks for your group by April 14, 2023.

Payment:

  • Checks are the only form of payment accepted. Personal checks or a chapter check made payable to the "American Association of Woodturners". Credit card payments will NOT be accepted. 

  • If the attendee would like any of the "Additions" (dinner tickets or spouse registration), the cost of the additions should be added to the member's registration.

  • AAW restricts payments only to check (rather than credit cards) to partially offset the registration discount. By working in coordination with chapters, we can offer a discount and bypass expensive credit card fees.
