In the tradeshow again this year, we’ll offer special hands-on turning classes free of charge to youth ages 10-18 (with a registered Symposium attendee). If space allows, classes will open to new turners of any age, so if you, a spouse, or friend are interested, stop by the Learn to Turn area in the tradeshow to check availability. Learn to Turn Youth instructors include Kip Christensen, Andi Sullivan, Katie Stofel, and Cindy Navarro. Youth registered in the program will have a chance to win a lathe package.

Registration and Enrollment
For youth to have their classes preassigned prior to the symposium, they must be registered by April 5. As part of the preregistration process, youth will be expected to specify the classes in which they wish to enroll. The Youth Program coordinator will confirm enrollment for up to three classes in advance of the symposium.

-
A parent, adult relative, or legal guardian;
-

A registered participant may sponsor up to three youth. Sponsors must volunteer in the youth room, or provide an alternate, for a minimum of one rotation for each youth sponsored.

Youth are encouraged to bring up to three items to display in the Instant Gallery. Cash prizes are awarded.
Woodturning Demonstrations
